 Three months prior start of the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland we have only 16 starting slots left. If you would like to participate in a race over the 70.3 distance, we strongly recommend you to register soon. In case you do not feel confident enough to compete in a 70.3 race, you can also participate as a team in the Triathlon Challenge.

| 16.02.2010 - Benefit from the special offers of SWISS |
 Swiss International Air Lines offers to the participants of PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland special rates (Congress Fares) with up to 25% allowance (depending on the type of flight, flight distance and availability).
These special flight arrangements are valid on the whole SWISS network for flights into Switzerland including flights effected by partner flight companies under the flight number LX.

| 04.01.2010 - Run on starting slots |
 2,050 athletes of 35 different nations have registered for the PowerBar IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND in Rapperswil-jona on the 6th June 2010. As a consequence the event is 90% booked. In total we will admit 2,250 participants to the competition next June.
We strongly recommend a rapid registration for all those, who have not registered yet.

| 19.11.2009 - The World Triathlon Corporation launches top athletes' program to provide support for the new anti-doping initiative. |
 The World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) goes new ways in fighting the doping abuse. What remains desirable in other sports has become reality in triathlon. Not long ago, the WTC has launched a new anti-doping initiative by which the professional athletes as well as the best amateurs might be tested in their trainings following the random sampling principle as well as on the competition day. The tests will be coordinated by independent organizations such as the WADA and the national anti-doping agencies.

 In the last three years the IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND in Rapperswil-Jona has achieved a good reputation for being a multinational event within the triathlon community worldwide. Consequently it is not a surprise that at this point of time over 1,000 participants from 27 nations have already registered for the upcoming event in 2010.

The athlete with the most votes will win a starting place for the IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND 2010. There will be no correspondence on the contest. The winner will be notified in writing.

| 08.06.2009 - Double Swiss victory at the IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND |
 2'200 athletes from 49 nations started today at the third IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND 2009 in Rapperswil-Jona. The favourite and titleholder Ronnie Schildknecht has been able to catch up with the spearhead after only 10 km and get a lead of nearly 4 over rank two Mike Aigroz. With a solid race, he was able to get his way against a world class block and celebrated his third victory (3:54.30,1). As for the women, the short distance specialist Sarah Schütz from Dübendorf won the race (4:28.26,8). The favourite Karin Thürig caught up brilliantly in the bike race until rank three and also showed a strong performance in the run race (4:.35.03,3).

 At 8.55 sharp the race of the 3rd IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND in Rapperswil-Jona has started. The sun is out and the water measures 16,4 Degrees. Over 2'200 athletes from 49 nations participate in todays race of 70.3 miles. |

| 01.06.2008 - Titleholder Ronnie Schildknecht wins again! |
 After an exciting head-to-head race with Konstantin Bachor (GER) Ronnie Schildknecht won the second IRONMAN 70.3 SWITZERLAND in 3:51.45 in Rapperswil-Jona. The decision fell in the second lap of the run course when he was able to leave his opponents behind.
