Age Groups and Qualification for the World Championships in Florida

The PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland will issue 75 starting slots for the Ford Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater (Florida, USA), 13th November 2010.
The qualification attained is only valid for the World Championship of the same year. Because not all athletes who have the right to a starting slot in Florida can or wish to start in Florida, the slots in the various age groups will be shifted downwards until the last qualification slot has been issued. The organiser, resp. the WTC (World Triathlon Corporation) retains the final right of decision concerning the issuing of qualification slots.

The allocation of the slots in categories is dependant on the number of the actual bookings and is definitive only upon receipt of the last registrations.

The slots for Professional athletes will only be allocated to athletes who cross the finish line within +5% of the time of the winning athlete.
